Our Arctic Fox photo tours 2025 and 2026

Arctic fox summer photo tour in Iceland
The summer Arctic Fox photo tour takes place in Iceland at the end of June 2025. This period corresponds to the time when the fox cubs leave their burrows and begin to explore the surrounding area. So we’ll have plenty of time to observe and photograph them on a daily basis, keeping our distance and changing areas regularly to limit disturbance.
Early summer in Iceland is also the best time to observe the hunting scenes of adult Arctic foxes.
Moreover, summer is seabird season in Iceland. During this photo workshop, we’ll have the opportunity to observe and photograph species such as common murres, northern fulmars, common eiders, harlequin ducks and purple sandpipers.
For this photo trip dedicated to the life of the arctic fox in summer, we’re setting up camp in the Hornstrandir nature reserve, in the area most densely populated with arctic foxes in the world. This will enable us to live in total immersion with the species that inhabit the Icelandic tundra.
The Arctic Fox photo tour in winter 2026
We are pleased to announce that we are launching an Arctic fox winter photo tour. This is one of our wildlife photo tours 2026. Organizing this trip has not been easy, as winter conditions in Iceland are extreme and accommodation opportunities in the Hornstrandir reserve are limited. But we did manage to secure good accommodation with all amenities in a region where humans are totally absent from September to June.
You can already consult the page dedicated to the Arctic fox winter photo tour. If you’d like to discuss this with us, please fill in the contact form with your details and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
During this photo trip, we’ll be observing Arctic foxes in extreme conditions. This period also corresponds to the mating season. This is when pairs form and defend their territories. It’s not uncommon to observe violent territorial battles between foxes.
Finally, our team, experienced in extreme conditions, accompanies all participants before their trip to help them choose their equipment.
Our 2026 red deer photo tour in Scotland
Scotland is red deer country! Our favorite spots are in the inland hybrids, where human population density is very low, and deer density very high. So we’ve decided to add this new destination to our wildlife photo tours 2026. The workshop will take place in Scotland and will focus on red deer!
For this photo workshop in Scotland, we’re taking you to an island where only a few houses are scattered here and there, a hotel welcomes the few tourists who venture there, and a distillery makes a famous peated whisky. The island’s main inhabitants are the red deer, with a population of over 7,000 for just 368 km². As with the polar fox in Iceland, we can therefore guarantee daily deer sightings in Scotland during our 2026 photo tour.
Last but not least, other animals live in inland hybrids. The most emblematic species are the European otter, the golden eagle and the white-tailed eagle. These species are more difficult to observe, but they remain annual residents of inland hybrids.
You can find out more about this photography workshop on the Red Deer in Scotland page.
Our Tassili n’Ajjer photo workshop in 2026
It’s a privilege and an honor for us to announce the opening of our new destination, Tassili n’Ajjer in Algeria! This cultural park in the extreme south-east of the country, on the edge of the Sahara, is a unique place in the world. In 2025, NASA even named a region of Mars after the park.
The Tassili n’Ajjer is a high plateau ranging from 1,000 m to over 2,000 m in altitude. The landscape changes depending on the area. Sometimes, black rocks emerge from red sand dunes. At other times, the environment is completely mineral and rocky. Gorges and monoliths create labyrinths where only Tuaregs know how to find their way. It’s the ideal environment for a landscape photography workshop.
In addition to its breathtaking landscapes, what makes the Tassili n’Ajjer unique is the presence of 15,000 engravings and cave paintings dating from 6,000 to 8,000 years ago. These paintings depict hunting scenes, religious rites or scenes from everyday life. The interest of these paintings lies in the fact that some depict animals from the jungle, others from the savannah and finally from the Sahara. This evolution is proof that the region’s climate has changed. The Sahara was once a rich, lush region before becoming one of the world’s driest deserts.
Finally, the Tassili n’Ajjer is the perfect place for astrophotography. To photograph the Milky Way, a 2000 m plateau in the desert is ideal. The starry skies of Tassili n’Ajjer are among the most beautiful in the world. We wanted to include night photography in our photo tours 2026, and now we have!
In conclusion, this trip is at once a landscape photography tour, a cultural holiday and a personal experience in the footsteps of our ancestors. You can book your photo tour on the Tassili n’Ajjer page.
Our wildlife photography tours 2026: What to expect with Wildlife Photo Travel
We are a team of people who are passionate about wildlife and nature in general. We want to build up a community of enthusiasts and offer them photo tours and expeditions to the most remote regions of the world. With this in mind, we will be opening up new destinations and new subjects every year. While most of our courses take place in Europe, our ambition is to expand into less common destinations such as Algeria and Mauritania in the south, and Greenland and the Shetland Islands in the north.
Our philosophy remains unchanged: we want to offer photo tours, but above all we respect nature. So we’re ruling out all options for photo hides where wild animals are fed (as is often the case in Finland), or areas over-frequented by wildlife photographers. In 2026, we’ll be offering wildlife photography workshops in areas with little or no human population.
