You can choose the destination for your private wildlife photography tour

Our private photo tours are fully customizable—in fact, that’s our main goal. The first choice you need to make is your destination. We offer four destinations by default: Iceland, France, Scotland, and Algeria. These four destinations offer very different opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography. Our photography guides are available to provide you with information about environments such as the Arctic tundra or the Sahara Desert in Africa.

Photographing the Arctic fox or the Northern Lights in Iceland, red deer in Scotland, the European wildcat in France, or the Milky Way in the Sahara—these are the choices available to you.

Our private photography tours in Iceland

Iceland is the ultimate destination for photography! Breathtaking landscapes, soft light, and unspoiled wilderness. It is a prime destination for landscape photographers.
For wildlife photographers, Iceland is also the land of arctic foxes. In winter, the foxes survive in an extreme environment of rock and ice. In summer, the tundra teems with life, and the cliffs are occupied by millions of seabirds. The Arctic fox cubs take their first steps. It is a short season of abundance.

For all these reasons, we offer private photography tours in Iceland. Our photography guides have been working there for around fifteen years. They will help you get the most out of Iceland’s wilderness!

Our private photography tours in France

France is a country rich in flora and fauna. It is also one of the most diverse countries in terms of nature that we know of. From the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to the peaks of the Alps, from the coast of Brittany to the Jura Mountains, each region has its own unique characteristics.

We offer photography tours in the Jura mountains, in eastern France, because this region is home to virtually all of the country’s flora and fauna. Mammals such as the European wildcat, red fox, European badger, and chamois can be found here. It is also the only refuge for the Eurasian lynx in France.

As for birds, apart from seabirds, all other species are present in the French and Swiss Jura. It is also an important passageway or nesting site for many migratory birds such as the European bee-eater.

Our private photography tours in Scotland

Scotland needs no introduction. Its dark and rugged landscapes, windswept islands, and highlands steeped in mystery and legend attract many photographers.

We chose Scotland as one of our photography workshop destinations because it is the ideal country for photographing red deer.
As wildlife photographers, we were used to photographing deer in forest environments in Europe. When we discovered the Scottish moorland and its majestic deer roaming in an open environment, we fell in love with this unique aesthetic of Scotland. This blend of beauty and poetry, accentuated by the dramatic atmosphere of the North Atlantic, is a creative calling for wildlife photographers.

Furthermore, if you are passionate about red deer, it is also possible, as part of a private photography tour in Scotland, to encounter deer in different environments: islands, mountains, etc. This option allows you to enjoy the diversity of landscapes that the country has to offer and to encounter other inhabitants of Scotland (otters, mountain hares, harbor seals, etc.).

Our private photography tours in Algeria

For this photography workshop, we are taking you to one of the largest countries in Africa, but also one of the least touristy: Algeria!
With an incredible diversity of landscapes, from the Mediterranean Sea to the high mountains and the Sahara Desert, ancestral cultures, rich flora and fauna, and a multitude of national parks, Algeria is the ideal destination for a photography trip!

But the reason we’re talking about Algeria is that we fell in love with the Tassili n’Ajjer Cultural Park in the far south of the country. This park is a natural gem, with landscapes worthy of Mars and unique biodiversity. It is also an open-air museum with more than 15,000 cataloged rock engravings, the oldest of which are over 8,000 years old.
This region offers photographers the opportunity for a rich and varied trip with landscape photography sessions, wildlife photography sessions, and access to the local population, the Tuaregs, to take portraits and photograph scenes of daily life.

Tassili n’Ajjer is a high plateau. Unlike other regions of the Sahara, which are sometimes below sea level, we take you to an altitude of 2,000 meters in a desert of rock and sand, monoliths and caves, small oases and arid areas where life is impossible.

Finally, for this photography tour in the Sahara, you will be accompanied by several local guides. First, one of our photography guides, who is Algerian. Then by our on-site team of Tuaregs.
Finally, as with our other photography tours, our guides speak English, French, German, as well as Algerian and Berber (the language of the Tuaregs).

Conditions for organizing a private photography tour

A private photo tour requires us to impose certain conditions related to budget and logistics. Our goal above all is to offer tours that meet the needs of wildlife and nature photographers, while remaining transparent about the reality on the ground. Here is what you need to know about the conditions for organizing our private photo workshops:

  • To keep prices reasonable, we have set a minimum number of participants at two people. The maximum number is 10 people. However, it is important to note that rates are discounted for groups of 4 or more people.
  • Wildlife follows a calendar that we are familiar with and will share with you. Depending on your objectives, you will need to adhere to this calendar. For example, if you want to photograph arctic fox cubs in Iceland, the private photo tour must take place in July.
  • We tailor all aspects of our private photo tours: itinerary, accommodation, meals, etc. However, depending on the destination, we have more or less options. For example, for the photo tour in Scotland, we have a choice of accommodation and several levels of comfort. On the other hand, for the arctic fox photo tour in Iceland, we have no choice but to set up a camp with a shelter and tents.
  • Accommodation for our photography tours is either in permanent buildings or, when necessary, in camps. In all cases, the options will be presented to you before booking. Our goal is to ensure that your expectations are perfectly matched to reality.
  • When booking, we require a deposit of 50% of the tour price. The balance is due no later than 60 days before the start of the tour.

Furthermore, it is entirely possible to cancel a tour for any reason. Refunds are made according to the following schedule:

  • Cancellation more than 60 days before the start of the tour: We refund the 50% deposit, minus organizational costs, which represent approximately 20% of the total price.
  • Cancellation less than 60 days before the start of the tour: We will refund the total payment, minus the 50% deposit.
